Electric Co-op Community Day
HCREMC hosted its 4th Annual Electric Co-op Community Day event, Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at the HCREMC headquarters (3400 S. State Rd. 3, New Castle, IN). This annual family-fun day was geared to support the Wounded Veterans Foundation. This great organization works with veterans to obtain housing and service dogs. They also provide psychological aid for veterans coping with issues due to their experiences.
The Indiana Blood Center was onsite accepting blood donations. This blood drive was dedicated to Maxwell Murphy, a little boy in our community that was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency. 16 units of blood were collected. This will positively affect 48 lives. Great job and thank you to everyone who donated!
